Discord x FiveM Linking

Linking your Discord account to your FiveM account. This will allow you to receive permissions in game via discord roles and other special features.

Use the link below to check whether your Discord account is properly linked to your FiveM (CFX) account: https://portal.cfx.re/account/linked-accounts

Please follow all steps carefully to avoid connection issues.

📌 Requirements

Before starting, make sure you have:

• A Discord account

• Discord Desktop App installed

• FiveM installed and updated

• Logged into the correct Discord account

🖥️ Step 1: Open Discord

1. Launch Discord

2. Make sure you are logged in

3. Keep Discord open in the background

⚠️ If Discord is closed or you’re logged into the wrong account, linking will fail.

🎮 Step 2: Launch FiveM

1. Open FiveM

2. Allow FiveM to fully load to the main menu

🔐 Step 3: Authorize Discord (First Time Only)

When you load up for the first time, Discord will ask to authorize FiveM

1. A Discord popup will appear

2. Click Authorize

3. Do NOT close Discord during this process

🔁 Step 4: Restart FiveM (IMPORTANT)

After authorizing Discord:

1. Close FiveM completely

2. Reopen FiveM

3. Connect to the server again

🔁 This step ensures your Discord ID is fully synced.

✅ Step 5: Join the Server

Once linked successfully:

• Your Discord roles will sync automatically

🎉 You’re all set!

❌ Troubleshooting (If It Still Isn’t Working)

If everything appears to be set up correctly but Discord still isn’t linking to FiveM, follow these steps in order.

🔓 Deauthorize FiveM from Discord

1. Open the Discord Desktop App

2. Go to User Settings

3. Navigate to Authorized Apps

4. Find FiveM

5. Click Deauthorize

⚠️ After this step, FiveM should NOT appear in your Authorized Apps list.

Now go back to 🔐 Step 3: Authorize Discord (First Time Only)

🧨 Full Reinstall (Last Resort)

If none of the above steps work:

1. Uninstall Discord

2. Uninstall FiveM

3. Uninstall GTA V

4. Restart your PC

5. Reinstall in this order:

   1. GTA V

   2. Discord

   3. FiveM

⚠️ This is rarely required, but it does resolve the issue for almost everyone when all else fails.
